Walking through the Street section of The MAGIC Marketplace you heard all kinds of awesome sounds blasting through stereos from various designers. However, in the midst of the rap, hip/hop, electronic and club music filling the convention center, Skullcandy, the headphones that have become a global sensation, attracted every music lover to their booth. Well, I should say “booth” in only “conference terms” but it was more like a mini club scene that featured Skullcandy’s eye catching array of colorful[.....]

Baseball caps with funky brims? Check! Clever fabrics and designs? Check! A premium baseball cap that retails for over $35 in stretch-fitted with red satin lining? Check! A brand everyone’s heard of? … Umm, well not yet. But from the looks of it, they will soon! The brand-spankin’ new Zoptopz caps have finally made their appearance.

Why is it that shoes are such a huge indicator of status? Between the pressures of being en vogue and the cost with keeping up with the latest brand it’s no wonder. From men’s sneakers to, well, every type of women’s footwear there’s always the latest and greatest way to express your status. Ladies, for 2009 we are looking at the ankle boot. Once upon a time knee high boots were the great indicator, but now they just look too[.....]

Or as I call them “Hooker Boots.” No offense intended of course, but I first got acquainted with these kinds of boots when “Pretty Woman” came out.  The association stuck. But boots that go up over the knee and call attention to those juicy thighs are not just for prostitutes anymore! Now civilian women can rock this mega-hot footwear. Over the knee boots look great with skinny jeans or leggings, but if you want to go for super hot pair[.....]

I love the whole idea of post apocalyptic life. Everyone is hard as nails, fighting for survival. Inevitably the battle proves someone as the new King or Queen. This tough outlook is visible in this years fashion. Just check out the “Run This Town” video with Jay Z and Rhianna, and you’ll see what I mean. To pull off this trend you need black, black and more black. Preferably a black leather jacket, get some black leggings with a shine,[.....]

I do love black, what a staple of the modern wardrobe. You want to look chic? Pull out your little black dress. You want to look more street? Perhaps a black wife beater will do. But this colorful trend I am all on board with! Tights are wonderful because it keeps my stems nice and warm(er) when I go out during these bitter winters. And with fun and flirty colors, they make me feel like the belle of the ball![.....]
